Let’s Play sets the rules before the first ball. But a match does not always go to plan: rain arrives, the light goes, or the ground is needed back early. From version 0.1.22 the scorer can change the numbers while the match is on, and every ball already scored stays exactly where it is.
Where to find it
- On the scoring pad, tap the gear.
- Tap Edit match details.
- Change what you need and tap Save.
What you can change
- Overs, extra balls and max wickets, for the rest of the match.
- The target, on a Target match.
- On Head to Head and Double Header: Extra balls | Who bowls them, and Extra runs | Who gets them.
- It works while the match is Delayed too, so you can fix the numbers during a rain break.
The rules it follows
- A value below what has already happened is refused — you cannot set three overs when four have been bowled.
- A value equal to what has happened ends the innings, and the Save button says so before you tap it.
- A finished innings keeps its deal. Its extra balls and extra runs are greyed out, with a note.
- If you change the extra runs for the innings being played, its score moves by the difference, and the app shows the change before you save.
- A side that has not batted yet simply starts with the new numbers.

Undo puts the old numbers back, as long as the edit did not end the match. The new overs, wickets and target reach match cards and the website on the next sync, so viewers see the shortened game too.
