Open Settings → Notifications (or the gear beside the Home bell). Each of the three switches controls a family of alerts, and a change saves as soon as you flip it. Above them, “Send push messages to this phone” turns lock-screen alerts on or off for this phone.
The three switches
- Match starts and results — a match starting or finishing for games you play or follow, plus matches of the players and grounds you follow, and a “score updated” alert when a finished match is corrected.
- Followers, badges and crew invites — new followers, badges you earn, Match Crew invites, and a scorer or streamer transfer.
- Chat messages — one-to-one messages from people you follow and who follow you back.
How alerts reach you
On the installed app they arrive on your lock screen even when the app is closed. The first time you reach Home, the app asks for permission to send notifications. If you said no, turn it on in your phone’s Settings → Apps → County Cricket → Notifications.
If an alert does not arrive
- Check “Send push messages to this phone” and the alert’s own switch are both on.
- Check the phone’s own notification permission for County Cricket.
- Check battery saver: some phones stop apps in the background and delay alerts.
- Open the bell on Home — the alert is kept in the notifications list.
